Two Book Groups at the ALP Library
There are two book discussion groups at the library -- one meets from September to May, and one meets during the summer months (July-August). Why two groups? They're a little bit different from each other...
The September - May group introduces a selection of books that covers different genres and authors. You may attend as many discussions as you'd like on the Saturdays noted below, from 3:30 - 4:30pm. If you'd like to attend digitally, Zoom links are available by request only.
Sat. January 16 Pale Horse, Pale Rider
Katherine Anne Porter
Sat. January 23 All Creatures Great and Small
The July - August group reads four books chosen by a committee, and each book in the series follows a particular theme. For example, the 2019 Summer Group read fiction books that were based upon the lives of artists. If possible, it's nice to attend all of the sessions and watch the theme develop and grow. The group meets on the Wednesdays noted below, from 5:30 - 6:30 pm. The season ends with a movie based on one of the book selections.
